Penang is the best choice as it comes with many interesting places to explore. Penang International Dragon Boat Festival
Date: 30-31 May
Time: 9.00am to 5.00pm
Venue: Teluk Bahang Dam
Get ready to experience the exciting and exhilarating cultural dragon boat races during the 36thPenang International Dragon Boat Festival at the scenic Teluk Bahang Dam on 30 and 31 May 2015.Members of the public are welcome to watch the race. Food stalls serving local delicacies will be available on the event day.Dragon Boat is a team-focused sport which promotes discipline, harmony, physical fitness and mental toughness. For Penangites it is an honoured sport that inculcates racial harmony and mental toughness.
Penang Floral Festival 2015
Date: 30 May- 7 June 2015
Time: 9.00am to 7.00pm
Venue: Penang Botanic Gardens (Taman Botani Pulau Pinang)
The Penang Floral Festival draws tens of thousands of local and foreign visitors to Penang Botanic Gardens every year. It is a popular festival that showcases various flower species and landscaping designs. A total of 800 orchids of various species and hybrids will be on display. Moreover, Friends of the Penang Botanic Gardens Society will be organizing a series of Nature Education programme during the Floral Festival.There will be workshops, various contests, exhibitions and classes on floral related topics will be held at this event along with the sales of a variety plants and gardening equipment.
Penang AgroFest 2015
Date: 4 – 7 June 2015
Time: 10.00am – 11.00pm
Venue: Expo Site Seberang Jaya
PENANG AGROFEST is a yearly event that is eagerly awaited by farmers, breeders, fishermen and people who are either directly involved in agriculture or not. This is because of the uniqueness, vibrancy and diversity of activities featured during the event. The event is also a platform for government agencies, the private sector and also entrepreneurs to highlight their latest technology, innovation and success stories in the agricultural industry. Visitors who come will be able to buy fresh produce from the farmers and fishermen.
Penang Bridge Half Marathon 2015
Date: 14 June 2015
Time: 4.30am-8.00am (21km), 7.30am-8.45am (Fun Run)
Venue: Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Bridge (Second Penang Bridge)
The Association of International Marathon and Distance Races (AIMS) will be holding their inaugural Asia-Pacific AIMS Conference in Penang on 12-13 June at St Giles Wembley-Premier Hotel. In conjunction with the conference, there will be the Penang Bridge Half Marathon 2015. This is a new event and is dedicated to the Half Marathon (21km). However, there will also be a Fun Run (8km) category and registration is open until 3rd of June 2015. Register now!
French Art & Film Festival 2015
Date: 4-14 June (Penang)
