A Mini-Retrospective of the work of Kedah-born, New York-trained artist, Lee Long Looi, opens on Sunday 27th at The Art Gallery in Pulau Tikus. The exhibition covers his paintings completed between 1972 and 2016. Also opening this weekend, on Friday 25th, is Flying Thoughts, a journey of miniature paintings by Lok How Yuan, at Run Amok, and you can catch the last days of Kaleidoscope 1116, an exhibition of Penang-born artist Tang Yeok Khang’s most recent paintings, at Galeri Seni Mutiara.
Other highlights of the coming week are the annual Big Bad Wolf Book Sale, offering books at 75-95% discount, which begins next Wednesday 30th, and Webcamp – Tech Startups, a free-of-charge learning session for aspiring internet entrepreneurs on Thursday 31st. And don’t forget, this is the last weekend of the month, with the usual monthly array of walking tours and performances at various locations in George Town.
