Organized by Gurney Paragon Mall, Penang Fashion Week will be bringing Asia’s Most Talented Designers for the state’s largest fashion extravaganza this April. This year, Penang Fashion Week, themed Street Vogue hosted a total of 15 Asia’s Most Talented Designers’ runway shows, and more than 10 local and international fashion brands from the merchants of Gurney Paragon Mall. Each will bring their own unique perspective but all share the common values of the highest standards in creating breath-taking work.
Bringing glamour and exclusivity to the Penang Fashion Week will be an Opening Gala Dinner on 16th April 2016, 7.00pm. The highlight of the night will be the fashion showcase of Danny Choo, the guru of fashionable Smart Dolls; Illiza Ho, a protégé of Datuk Jimmy Choo who is an award-winning accessory designer; Eric Choong, well-known Penang born designer for his couture collection which incorporates Malaysian influences; and Wisharawish Akarasantisook, Thailand’s most promising designer. All these 4 reputable designers will be wowing the audiences with their astounding smart doll apparel, handbag, and apparel designs. Reputable brands like La Martina, Tumi and My Dream Wedding will also be among the highlights.
Taking place at Penang’s most iconic and historic venue (Gurney Paragon Mall) over ten days in April (15– 24 April 2016), the event allows the visitors to experience the atmosphere of Penang Fashion Week and gain an insight into the fashion industry. It promises to once again, electrifies the city with its high impact, fully integrated fashion show featuring local and international designers.
Penang Fashion Week is definitely the highlight of Penang’s fashion industry that showcases the beautiful masterpieces by international brands and homegrown retailers and designers. Members of the public can enjoy a series of runway shows by established and emerging designers with collections ranging from street wear, office and casual wear to high fashion.
